Martyn is an emerging local Hampshire artist working in acrylics, His vibrant and mostly acrylic portrait paintings are uniquely realistic, contemporary and expressionistic impressions of iconic personalities
Martyn’s paintings look behind the subject’s façade and explore the true essence, personas, vulnerabilities and coping strategies we all have, regardless of apparent status.
Born in Oxford, Martyn lives in Hook, is a member of Farnham Art Society and Cross Barn Art in Odiham and has exhibited at AppArt in Godalming since 2020. He held his first solo exhibition in January 2022 at the Allen Gallery in Alton, where he displayed 39 paintings. Martyn has also been exhibiting at THAT Gallery in Basingstoke since September 2021, and he also helps to run the gallery
